FORTA is more than a fitness competition. It's a race where four athletes become one team. Share the workload, play to your strengths, trust your teammates. Whether you're chasing the podium or taking on your first competition, FORTA is designed to challenge every team while creating an unforgettable race day.
FORTA is a standardised and judged fitness race combining running, functional fitness and tactical decision-making. Unlike many fitness events, there isn't just one way to complete the course.
Success isn't determined solely by who is strongest or fastest. It's about communication. Planning. Backing your teammates. Making smart decisions under pressure.
Every team completes exactly the same course. No two teams race it the same way.
Only one athlete works at a station at any time. Your team decides who completes each station, who conserves energy, who tackles multiple runs, and who avoids a station altogether. Every athlete must complete at least one 500m run. Everything else is down to your team's strategy.
The fastest team isn't always the fittest. It's often the team that works together best.
Six runs. Seven functional fitness stations. One shared clock.

No full team? No problem. Register as an individual, pair or trio and we'll try to match you with other athletes looking to race before the event sells out. Some of our strongest friendships have started through Team Tinder.

Unlike many events, you don't collect another identical medal every time. You earn one FORTA medal, and your achievements are then engraved onto it throughout your FORTA journey. Whether that's your first podium, a Masters title or the Spirit of FORTA Award, your medal becomes a lasting record of every milestone.
